Softball fields at Catharpin Regional Park
Catharpin Regional Park in Prince William County is about to receive new softball fields, including two 300-foot infield fields. In addition to these fields, there will be an asphalt trail, ADA parking, and a stormwater management system. The project is expected to be complete in June 2020.
The park is located in rural northwestern Prince William County and features five lighted baseball fields, seven batting cages, five soccer fields, and a football/multi-use field. The fields are outfitted with Bermuda grass and are expected to be ready for practice in the next few months.
The park also features a new playground, a picnic table, and four shaded play areas. These amenities make it a destination for families. The county spent over $235,000 to install the new playground equipment. It includes built-in musical instruments and a spinning wave seat.
