No other smaller slopes or grasslands exist on the mountain, so you don’t have to worry about finding a difficult hike. Hikers can explore the trails in the park by following the trail map developed by WALK (Walk Around Lake Country) volunteers. There are two trails: the high trail, which is 1.1 km long, and the low trail, which is 1.42 km long. Both trails offer panoramic views. A short section of the trail crosses Silver Star Road. There is a dog bag dispenser near each trailhead. The park is open to the public all year long.
The Ellison Connector Trail is another trail that runs parallel to the Ridge Trail. It is steep at times but offers expansive views of the lake. Hikers and cyclists share the trail, which is well-marked. The Park is accessible from Highway 97 in Vernon, and you can get there by taking the first right after the traffic circle.
