There are many places to see and explore in Mascoutah, Illinois. The Mascoutah Museum offers exhibits that cover a variety of topics. You can view displays about coal mining, farming, printing, and Native American artifacts. In addition, there are many temporary exhibits to see. City Cemetery Walk

This Sunday, May 7, the Mascoutah Historical Society will hold its annual City Cemetery Walk. This event is open to the public and starts at the Espenschied Chapel. The walk will feature nine graves of veterans from seven different wars and conflicts. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Light refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by the Mascoutah Historical Society and Mascoutah Heritage Museum.

In addition to the City Cemetery Walk, a walk through of the cemetery will be conducted at the funeral home by the Mascoutah Fire Department at 6 p.m. The family would appreciate your respect during this time. Following the walk through, a private funeral service will be held at St. John United Church with Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. The body will then be buried in the Mascoutah City Cemetery.
