Air Force Flight Test Museum

The Air Force Flight Test Museum in Edwards is a place where you can learn about the history of aerospace, including the use of aircraft for space missions. You will be able to see a variety of military aircraft and their components, including the Lockheed Shooting Star and YF-117 Nighthawk. There is also a mockup aircraft of the X-15 rocket plane. Unfortunately, the museum is not particularly visually appealing.

Our tour was a great way to learn about the history of flight tests in Edwards. We learned about the testing of various aircraft, from the first airplanes to the most recent jet fighter. We also had the chance to view aircraft propulsion systems and missiles, as well as photos and wind tunnel models.

The museum is closed on Sundays, federal holidays, and Tuesdays. You can only visit on those days if you have business on Edwards Air Force Base, or if you are part of a public affairs tour. We recommend you plan your visit during non-peak-of-mouth season to avoid crowds.

Muroc Lake Golf Course

If you love golf and the desert, try playing Muroc Lake Golf Course in Edwards. This 18-hole course is a perfect blend of the desert and manicured greens. It was designed by William F. Bell and opened in 1967. It has a USGA rating of 73.5 and a slope rating of 130. Muroc Lake Golf Course also offers golf lessons and equipment for sale.

The course is located near the Edwards Air Force Base and is in great condition. The greens are very challenging and have a lot of undulation. The course also has a steady 25 mph wind. This makes the course difficult but enjoyable. Those who play the course on a regular basis can benefit from its low cost of play.

The course offers two tees for golfers: White and Red. The White tees are 71 yards shorter than the Red tees. The course is a great challenge and the pro shop is excellent. If you have the budget, you can get a yearly pass for $25 and enjoy the facility at a reasonable price.

Bookworm of Edwards

The Bookworm of Edwards is a locally owned and operated bookstore and cafe. It is located in the Riverwalk Center in Edwards. The bookstore features local food and weekly events. The store also hosts a toddler story time every Friday. The owners are passionate about books and are committed to preserving the legacy of the independent bookseller.

The Bookworm of Edwards was founded in 1996 and has grown to host more than fifty events a year. It is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Riverwalk Shopping Center

The Riverwalk Shopping Center in Edwards is a great place to shop for a variety of items. It is located right on Highway 6 and features numerous restaurants, stores, and business services. In addition to the great shopping options, Riverwalk also has a movie theatre, bookstore, and a hotel.

The community’s amenities include a health club, swimming pools, and tennis courts. The neighborhood is surrounded by 400 acres of open space. There are also numerous hiking and biking trails. There’s also a pocket park that’s great for kids to play. The community has many sports fields, including a volleyball and basketball court. In addition, there’s a fitness center and a weight room.

Edwards is located west of Beaver Creek and Vail. It is a great place to live or vacation because of its location and great climate. Visitors to Edwards can take advantage of excellent fly fishing, horseback riding, and hiking through the valley. Before visiting the community, be sure to call restaurants and attractions to make sure they’ll be open when you’re there.
