Smuttynose Brewing Company

The Smuttynose Brewing Company was one of the first breweries in New Hampshire to become LEED Gold certified. The brewery has grown so quickly that the original building no longer served the brewery’s needs. This new location enables Smuttynose to produce more beer and expand their market reach.

Smuttynose originally operated in Portsmouth, but the company needed more space. In order to expand, the brewery’s original farm was moved to Hampton and converted into a restaurant called Hayseed. The company now brews many different types of beer. The brewery offers seasonal beers, as well as a variety of flavors.

The brewery is located on a farm that was formerly home to the Frank Jones Brewery. The farm has historic structures dating back to the 17th century. The new facility doubles the brewery’s annual production capacity.
