Hanska County Park is a great place to visit if you are looking for a place to spend the day. Located in Minnesota, the park is near Fort Hill and the Hanska Lake Dam. The park offers a campground and can be booked up to 4 months in advance. The park also features a log cabin built in 1850 and an old fort site, as well as interpretive signage.

Lake Hanska is one of the largest bodies of water in Brown County, and offers plenty of open space for fishing and recreational boating. On the east side of the lake, off County Road 11, you’ll find the Hanska County Park, which offers campsites with electrical hookups, a sandy beach, and a playground. Nearby lakes include Clear Lake, a smaller fishing lake, and Lost Dog and Fox Hunter’s County Parks.

The park is located 13 miles south of New Ulm, and three to four miles west of Hanska. The park is easily accessible via County Road 11, which is a half mile north of County Road 6. The park features a number of hiking trails and picnic areas, and there are three shelters available to rent for a fee.

Dining

If you’re looking for a place to eat and drink a little bit different, Dining in Hanska is for you. With its history dating back to the socialist era, this high hill is the perfect setting for hearty dining and entertainment. As a bonus, the name of the restaurant is derived from the shape of the building itself: the word “han” means “chief” in ancient Bulgarian, and “shatra” means “tent,” a nomad tent. Despite its storied history, the building has remained largely intact and continues to be an excellent dining and entertainment location. In addition to the great food and fun, this place features a throne hall where you can learn more about ancient Bulgarian culture.

In Hanska, you’ll find a variety of activities and entertainment options. You can enjoy traditional cabaret shows and dancers, acrobats, clowns and jugglers at Hanska Shatra Cafe.
