The Australian Wildlife Park is another great place to see native animals. Dingoes, wallabies, snakes, kookaburras, and cockatoos can be found in the park. You can also feed crocodiles at three in the afternoon.
Carlton Wine Room
Carlton Wine Room is a wine bar and restaurant located in Carlton. It features a marble bar and an oval communal table. The restaurant specializes in local and organic wines, and the menu offers a variety of dishes. You’ll be able to enjoy biodynamic Beaujolais and scallop tostadas served on porcelain plates.
The wine room is situated in an old grain elevator that shut down in 2003. The famous wine maker Ken Wright had once owned the building, and he had it repurposed for Flaneur Wines. The new owners spent five years renovating the building and reinforcing its footing in order to withstand earthquakes.
While wine is the most important part of the experience, you can also enjoy some local cuisine at the Carlton Wine Room. The restaurant is located on Highway 47 and offers a casual dining experience in the heart of Oregon wine country. You can choose from a variety of local wines by the glass or the bottle, as well as craft beer, cider, and specialty cocktails.

Laurel Ridge Estate Vineyard
If you’re looking for an awesome place to visit in Carlton, Oregon, you should consider Laurel Ridge Estate Vineyard. Located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, this vineyard was established in 1986 and is open daily for tastings. The wines produced here are among the best in Oregon. The tastings are offered in a friendly environment, so you’re sure to find something that suits your palate.
The Laurel Ridge Estate Vineyard is a family-run business owned by Louis Jadot, a French wine maker. The vineyard was purchased by the winemaker in 2013, and the winery and tasting room opened July 2018. The winery is open seven days a week.
Carlton is a charming city in the Willamette Valley that is home to many wineries. Its historic downtown district is surrounded by scenic vine-covered hills, and the town is a renowned wine country destination. Almost two dozen wineries have a presence in the CBD, which is known as “Pinot Paradise.” Carlton is the headquarters of the Yamhill-Carlton American Viticultural Area, an internationally recognized wine region. Gantheaume Point
The Gantheaume Point lighthouse and cliffs are a popular attraction for families and visitors. The area is also home to real dinosaur footprints, 130 million years old and preserved in reef rock. These footprints are easily visible at low tide. The lighthouse keeper and his wife created Anastasia’s Pool, which was damaged by a storm in January 2014.
Visitors can take a short drive from Broome to visit Gantheaume Point, located just outside the town. It offers fantastic photo opportunities and is a great place to meet locals. It is also the departure point for many Broome tours and excursions, including whale watching and kayaking.
Carlton Zoo
The zoo is a must-see attraction for visitors to the city. Visitors can feed the crocodiles and see dingoes. The park also has snakes, kookaburras, and cockatoos. There are many different shows and events held here.
The Melbourne Zoo is a 22-hectare attraction that dates back to 1862. The zoo is a five-minute drive from the city center. Visitors can see 250 species of animals, including the Orang-utan Sanctuary and the Asian elephant exhibit. You can even volunteer to help the zoo’s animal care team during a day.
