Every girl goes through this… its embarrassing and annoying. Especially, because of the aches and pains that follow. I don’t know about you, but my muscles and stomach make me feel like complete crap. The main reasons we have these is because we don’t know or even really understand our own bodies and what they need. The uterus contracts causing cramps, headaches, nausea, and even backaches. Herbs and changing your diet will help to hormonal balance and the production of natural chemicals in the body that are pain relievers. This is caused by inflammation of a substance, like a hormone, that causes cramping. Cramps from the menstrual cycle, happen because, during this cycle, you have way more estrogen than progesterone. Try taking caffeine out of your diet. It disrupts the properly distributed amounts of estrogen in the body. This also makes your blood-sugar level go up and down, exacerbating cramps. Avoiding menstrual cramp medications from over the counter, colas, black teas, and coffee will help this. Stress is a huge contributor to cramps whether its physical or emotional. Its important to take some time to yourself to lay down and relax. Try place a warm towel or warm bottle of water to relieve the uterine muscle. Do so for at least thirty minutes every few hours or as needed. During your cycle try eating foods rich in omega-3, like flaxseeds, walnuts, mackerel, and salmon. one of the eaiest way to vet this nutrient is to tame one tablespoon of flaxseed oil(cold pressed) or freshly ground flaxseeds, every day. The omega-3 fatty acid helps to produce natural pain relievers in your body. You should avoid foods saturated fats, polyunsaturated oils, hydrogenated oils, and red meat, because these all help to produce hormones that cause painful inflammation. Relaxants are meant to relax aches and spasms in muscles. This specific relaxant; helps relaxes the uterine muscle, reduce tension overall, to relieve spasms, even stagnation of the uterus. For this relaxant you will need one fluid ounce of cramp bark (extract), half fluid ounce of valerian (extract), and half teaspoon of ginger root (extract).
- First, have a dark glass bottle ready.
- Second, pour all of the extracts into the glass bottle.
- Third, shake vigorously!
- Fourth, get a small glass.
- Fifth, place one teaspoon of the mixture into the water.
- Sixth, mix and drink every last drop.
- Seventh, try to relax and the effects will hit shortly.
Do this two to three to four times a day. This tea will help to relieve cramps that are very mild. You will need one teaspoon of freshly chopped ginger root for easing, one teaspoon of dried chamomile for relaxation, and one cup of water for the tea.
- First, simmer the water.
- Second, pour in the ginger.
- Third, cover and let sit for five minutes.
- Fourth, take off the burner.
- Fifth, add the chamomile.
- Sixth, cover and let steep for at least ten minutes.
- Seventh, strain into a cup.
- Eighth, sweeten if desired and drink!

All natural ways helping your body feel good, instead if that damaging self esteem annoyance. The over-the-counter medications can sometimes even make things worse and some of the foods we crave can be more damaging than helpful in the long run.
