The Westport Downtown Association is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) advocacy organization comprised of merchants, landlords, and other business owners. It also supports the businesses that do business in the downtown area.
The downtown core is easily walkable and offers a diverse mix of shopping and dining options. You’ll find many restaurants, coffee shops, and yoga studios. A museum dedicated to the area’s history is also a great place to spend time. Across from Town Hall is the Westport Museum for History and Culture, which features many events and exhibits. The museum is also home to the historic Adams Academy, a one-room schoolhouse that was used from 1837 to 1867. Elementary school students frequently visit the site for field trips and exhibits.
The Westport Downtown Association also hosts Summer Outdoor Shopping Days, which will take place on June 18th and August 20th.
