Lake Sheridan

Nestled between Fleetville and Factoryville, PA, Lake Sheridan is a 90-acre body of water. It is made up of two sections, the upper part of which is in Lackawanna County, and the lower portion of which is in Wyoming County. The upper portion was known as Shiek’s Pond during the 19th century, and was created through the breaching of a dam on a local farm.

Slug’s pub

The team behind the Snail Bar in Oakland is back with a new bar called Slug, which will open on July 22. The pub will be located on Broadway and 14th Street. It will be led by owner Andres Giraldo Florez, who also founded Snail last summer and previously worked at the Michelin-starred Saison. His team also includes chef Spencer Horovitz and general manager Jake Michahelles.

Lake Winola

Located in Overfield Township in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, Lake Winola is a public 185-acre glacial lake. It consists of two main basins, the western and eastern. The lake is accessed via a peninsula that extends from the north to the south.

Located within the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania, Lake Winola is a body of water formed millions of years ago. Early settlers called the lake Buttermilk Falls Pond and it was later renamed to Buttermilk Falls Lake. Another name was Crooked Lake, and it was spelled Wynola for a short while.

This lake is a natural body of water that is home to Smallmouth bass, Largemouth bass, and Rainbow trout. According to Fishbrain.com, 290 anglers have logged catches at this lake. However, before heading out to a lake to fish, remember to use good judgment and follow local regulations.
