Elburn Days Parade

The Elburn Days Parade is one of the biggest annual events in the town. It features local groups, businesses and floats. The parade steps off at 6 p.m. on Friday and travels down Route 47 from Pierce Street to South Street. After the parade, there will be music performances at the Main Stage at Lions Park, which is also where the beer garden will be located. Among the performers this year is Whiskey Romance, who will open the festival’s music stage.

Children are welcome to watch the parade, but they are encouraged not to approach parade participants for candy. The Elburn Days festival runs from Friday, Aug. 19 to Sunday, Aug. 21, and features live music, crafts, tractor pulls, and a beer tent. The festival also includes games for children, livestock auctions, and carnival rides.

This community event is the biggest fundraiser for the Elburn Lions Club, and runs through Sunday at Lions Park in Elburn. The Lions Club was founded in 1934 and changed the name to A Day in the Park, but it is still known as Elburn Days. In 2020, the event is canceled due to a pandemic outbreak.
