The former Woodbury Ski Area, a small ski area in northern Connecticut, is no longer operating. The area is about 2 hours outside New York City. It used to feature a chairlift and multiple surface lifts. The ski area also hosts a wide variety of family events and activities, including a popular Christmas tree lighting.

With over three hundred acres of parks, Woodbury offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for children and adults. There are also numerous lakes for swimming or picnicking. The city is also close to the three-hundred-acre Afton Alps ski resort. You can also try a few courses of golf at nearby Woodbury.

The town is also home to several outdoor parks, including Tamarack Park, which is located near the Interstate 494 exit. The park has scenic walking trails, picnic areas, and cross-country ski trails. The park also has an ice-rink, which is open in winter. Woodbury Creek Park is another outdoor recreation area and connects with nearby Cap Paine Park.

Shoppes at Arbor Lakes

Tamarack Nature Preserve

Located in the city of Woodbury, Tamarack Nature Preserve is a treasure of the local area. The preserve is a protected 169-acre area of swamp, woodland and upland forest. The preserve is largely pristine and features many species of Tamarack trees. It also has other types of evergreen trees planted throughout.

The tamarack trees at the preserve are an exceptionally special species in Minnesota. These deciduous conifers grow up to 300 years old and thrive in peaty lakes and boggy streams. They are incredibly hardy and are the most common trees in the state during the early days of European settlement. Aside from tamaracks, the preserve is home to dozens of other species of trees, flowers and other special plants.

Tamarack Nature Preserve is located in suburban Woodbury, a city with a population of nearly 70,000. The park contains the southernmost stand of tamarack trees in the state, along with fen wetlands. Its trails feature unpaved and paved paths, and a boardwalk that is more than 4 miles long.

Madison’s Place Playground

Madison’s Place Playground is a great place to take your child to play and explore. This playground is accessible for kids of all abilities and includes a merry-go-round and all types of swings. It is also steps away from a splash pad for little ones.

The playground is a new addition to the Woodbury area. It is an inclusive playground that was built in honor of a little girl who died at age two from Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
