Artisan Works
Located in a renovated factory, Artisan Works in Rochester is a wonderful space for art lovers. Thousands of original pieces of art are housed in over 40,000 square feet of space. This museum offers free tours and an opportunity to talk with local artists. Visitors are also welcome to buy art or lease it for their own home.
In June, the museum will host the annual Rochester Fine Arts Festival. The event will feature a wide range of works by local artists. There will be a live musical performance on Saturday. The venue will be closed on Sundays, but will be open for walk-in visitors during the week. There will also be more activities on the weekends.
There are about 500,000 works of art in the permanent collection of Artisanworks. Some pieces are stored off-site. The gallery has over 10 artists in residence and also hosts workshops and exhibit openings. The gallery also purchases works by artists across the country.
