Hackensack is a city located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Officially named New Barbadoes Township until 1921, the city has been known as Hackensack since the 18th century. The city’s population is 46,030 as of the 2020 census.
Fort Lee Historic Park
Fort Lee Historic Park is situated on the Hudson Palisades bluff and offers spectacular views of Mount Constitution and Burdett’s Landing. The area is believed to have been inhabited by Native Americans for thousands of years before Europeans arrived. The park is a good place to learn more about the area’s history.
Fort Lee is home to a variety of activities and events. Its community center hosts classes, concerts, and other community events. It’s a great place for family activities and is close to other neighborhoods including Hackensack and Englewood. The area also offers easy access to New York City.
Fort Lee Historic Park is located on 33 landscaped acres south of the George Washington Bridge. The park’s visitor center is large, and there are several scenic trails. There’s also a picnic area on the grounds overlooking the Palisades Interstate Park. It’s open Wednesday-Sunday from 10:00 to 4:45 PM.
The park features two overlooks and metered parking. The park was once the site of a Continental Army encampment in 1776. There are many markers and monuments in the area, including the one on Fort Lee Road. The park also includes the site of Washington’s Hackensack headquarters.

Chick-fil-A
If you’re looking for a quick bite, Chick-fil-A is one of Hackensack’s places to go. The fast-food chain specializes in chicken sandwiches and nuggets, as well as salads and side dishes.
The Atlanta-based fast-food chain recently opened a Hackensack location, at 41 Route 4 W. Previously occupied by a Hooters, the new Hackensack Chick-fil-A is the second location to open in the Garden State in the past week. The Hackensack location will give away 100 free meals a year to local heroes and will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The fast food chain’s menu includes chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and waffle fries.
The new Hackensack Chick-fil-A will have two drive-through lanes and 57 parking spaces. The location will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will feature curbside carry-out and delivery. The company is hiring 130 employees to staff the new location.
The Chick-fil-A in Hackensack will replace a shuttered Hooters restaurant on Route 4. The new restaurant is a 5,014-square-foot building and has an additional entrance on Hackensack Avenue. The new location will be near the Bergen County Academies campus. The new restaurant will have 57 parking spaces and two drive-thrus around the building.
The drive-through Chick-fil-A is located near the intersection of Carol Court and Hackensack Avenue in Hackensack, New Jersey. It is a 1-minute drive from Route 4 and three minutes from Main Street. It is also eight minutes from River Street and Maywood Avenue. The Hackensack Chick-fil-A is located at 41 Route 4 West, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The Gallery at HACPAC
Art lovers will find a thriving art scene in Hackensack, New Jersey. The HACPAC galleries feature both exhibitions and performances. Performances can be timed to coincide with exhibits. The gallery is open Monday through Friday and during special events. The Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance supports this arts and cultural center.
The Hackensack Performing Arts Center is located in a former Masonic Temple on State Street. It is home to local artists and Grammy-award winning performers. The gallery will feature rotating exhibits, often drawn from the theme of a performance. Visitors can expect to see works by emerging artists, as well as established ones.
The main entrance features a large mural depicting the city’s artistic past and demonstrating its commitment to the arts. The mural engages passersby and beautifies the area. In addition, framed surfaces are available for the public to leave messages and comments. This is part of the City’s initiative to create a creative, thriving arts district.
The Murder at Haversham Manor
The Murder at Haversham Manor is a murder mystery set in 18th-century Hackensack, New Jersey. The main suspect is Cecil Haversham, a man who had a history of mental instability. His death leaves his family in a state of shock, and Inspector Carter begins his investigation by investigating the house and its residents. He tries to determine whether or not Cecil was the killer, but is unable to find the murder weapon.
Despite the fact that the show is a comedy, it does have some serious points. The cast includes Evan Alexander Smith, who plays Inspector Carter, and several talented actors. The script includes fake advertisements, fake cast profiles, and even a letter from President Chris Bean.
Florence is worried about the murder investigation, and Cecil thinks that Florence isn’t loving Charles. However, when the inspector arrives, Florence is worried about being suspected of being the murderer. Nevertheless, she has convinced herself that she’ll marry Thomas one day, so she is prepared to make any sacrifice necessary to keep her safe.
The Hackensack River Greenway
The Hackensack River Greenway is a 3.5-mile-long nature trail and pedestrian walkway along the Hackensack River. It forms the western boundary of Teaneck Township and is anchored by three parks. It extends through a variety of privately-held and publicly-owned properties. Its conservation efforts focus on the creation and maintenance of a natural buffer between the river and the town.
The Hackensack River is part of the Eastern Flyway and is a popular stopping point for egrets, swans, herons, and cormorants. It is also less than 10 miles from New York City. Hackensack River Greenway parallels the river’s east bank and runs from Terhune Park to Brett Park. It is a great place to go for a stroll or bike ride.
Along the Hackensack River, you can enjoy water sports such as canoeing and kayaking. The waterway provides picturesque views and a peaceful environment for relaxing. The Hackensack River Park also has a 17-slip marina, where pontoon boats can be launched. Pontoon boat cruises run from June through September and feature a NJSEA guide explaining the region’s history and pointing out flora and fauna.
The Hackensack River Greenway provides beautiful views of the Hackensack River and is also an important area for hiking. This 3.5-mile river trail is maintained by the Friends of Hackensack River Greenway.
Overpeck County Park
If you are looking for a place to spend your afternoon, Overpeck County Park is a great place to go. It offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including a paved biking/running path, four picnic areas, a baseball/softball field, volleyball and basketball courts, and a creek with a reliable population of shorebirds and wading birds.
The park also features a state-of-the-art sports complex, including a jogging track, athletic fields, and an artificial turf. It also has a playground for kids and a canoe and kayak launch on Overpeck Creek. It also has five miles of hiking and jogging trails.
This new park is home to 805 acres of land that used to be a landfill. The land was donated by five Bergen County municipalities to create this park. The city of Hackensack donated hundreds of acres of land to the park. The park is now a popular recreational destination for locals and visitors alike.
