Eldon’s Depot is an historic railroad depot dating back to the 1870s. It once served local travelers and the U.S. Postal Service. Today, it serves as a railroad museum, the city’s welcome center, and a meeting place for local residents. Originally built as a passenger depot, the building has been converted into a museum, railroad store, and community center.

Fackler’s trust provided the money needed to build the museum. However, the group had to hold bake sales to raise the funds. Sadly, Fackler passed away three years ago. He had no children, so his charitable trust was left to two trustees. The trust specified that the funds go to the museum.

While Dan Eldon’s life focus was on development, his father, Mike Eldon, was just as active in youth development. Ultimately, Dan Eldon’s legacy lives on in the DEPOT, which is a charitable trust in Nairobi, Kenya. Its mission is to inspire people to fulfill their dreams and realize their potential.
