The city of Cudahy is located in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Its population is estimated at 18204 as of the 2020 census. There are several places to see and explore in this city. In this article, we will discuss Grant Park Golf Course, the Cudahy Family Library, and the X-ray Arcade.
Grant Park Golf Course
If you’re a golf fan, Grant Park Golf Course is one of the places you should visit in Cudahy. This PGA Tour course will open for the 2022 golf season on March 16. If you’d like to visit before the opening date, you can book advance tee times online. The information can be found on the PGA Tour website.
The course first opened in 1919 and was the first 18-hole golf course in Milwaukee County. It was developed on land purchased from Horace Fowle, a descendant of early settlers in Oak Creek. Fowle’s Victorian home was converted into the clubhouse, but the charm of its Victorian era architecture is still evident today. It even boasts original staircases with newel posts and carved balustrades.
Nearby, visitors can enjoy the beach at Grant Park, which is a secluded cove located along the shore of Lake Michigan. You can reach it via a narrow road off Oak Creek Parkway. After a short walk, you can see the golf course on the other side of the hill.
Those who enjoy playing golf should consider visiting Grant Park Golf Course. This course is well maintained, and offers a wide variety of holes ranging from easy to challenging. It is the closest golf course to Cudahy, and it also has a variety of events and friendly staff.
This golf course is ideal for practice, putting practice, and course management. The course is not overly challenging, and the conditions are excellent. The putting greens are large and contoured. Be sure to position yourself well, as being below the hole will help you make the best putts possible.
Cudahy Family Library
Whether you’re looking for e-books, DVDs, or magazines, the Packard Avenue Library in Cudahy has everything you need to get lost in a good book. It also offers free WiFi, public computers, and exceptional programs for people of all ages.
The library also hosts free baby storytime, a program where babies and parents can get together for stories and songs. It’s BYOB, and parents are encouraged to bring blankets for their little ones to snuggle under. The library is open every day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and it’s easy to find a convenient time to visit.
X-ray Arcade
X-Ray Arcade is a new addition to the Cudahy community that caters to people of all ages. The new venue features arcade games, pizza bagels, and live music. It was opened in February 2019 by Andy Slania, who previously owned the Vnuk’s Lounge in Cudahy. He has been a member of local bands and sees the X-Ray Arcade as a venue for the community.
The new location will feature a 20-foot stage and a 200-seat capacity. Initially, the Arcade will be open for limited hours, but Woods plans to extend it to six days a week and add daily live performances. Woods plans to host local bands in the first month and will also return for his bi-annual “Dummerfest” on June 22.
X-Ray Arcade, also known as The Very Famous X-Ray Arcade, is an arcade with a unique combination of live music, video screens, and arcade games. The arcade offers more than a dozen popular video games and also offers a restaurant, bar, and live music.
Boutique Hotel
The Sheridan House, a new boutique hotel in Cudahy, will offer the same luxury amenities that a Ritz-Carlton offers, including beds with imported linens, heated floors, wireless internet, and the latest whirlpool tubs. In addition, the property is located near the Milwaukee airport, beach and running trails, and is a great choice for those visiting Milwaukee’s numerous festivals and events.
Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Cudahy is a small city with a diverse range of activities. Its three-mile lakefront provides ample opportunities for swimming and fishing, while the 800 acres of pristine parkland is ideal for bird watching. It is no wonder Cudahy is known as “Tree City USA.” For those looking to spend a day on the green, the nearby Warnimont Golf Course is an excellent option. There are also several baseball fields and swimming pools.
