Fort Defiance Civil War Park

Downtown Artists Co-Op
The Clarksville Downtown Artists Co-Op is a local art cooperative that fosters artistic collaboration and friendships among local artists and art lovers. They also support local organizations and are members of the Tennessee Watercolor Societies and 2 Rivers Painters. During the month of March, you can view many new works by artists in their local gallery.
The Downtown Artists Co-Op is proud to announce the opening of a fine art digital photography exhibit featuring the work of member artists. This exhibition is called “Sea and Sky” and will feature works by member artist Jane Moore. On the opening night of the exhibit, there will be an opening reception, with live music by Arik Browning. You can also view other new work by members of the DAC.
The DAC Gallery is located at 96 Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 12 to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Tickets are $30 per person. You can purchase tickets at the DAC Gallery or from any member. You can also purchase tickets at the door if space permits. The evening will feature live auction for larger original works of art and entertainment from local artists. There will also be heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Margie Crain, and two complimentary drinks per person.
Governor’s Square Mall
Governor’s Square Mall in Clarksville, Tennessee is a large enclosed mall featuring anchor stores such as Burlington, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress For Less, JCPenney, Belk, Old Navy, and Dillard’s. Its food court offers a wide variety of dining options.

Rivers & Spires Festival
Rivers & Spires Festival is a popular outdoor music festival that takes place in Clarksville, Tennessee. It was established in 2003 and celebrates the city’s history and its relationship with the Army. It features five stages of live music, artisan booths, and kids’ activities. The Family Fun Stage, located in the First Baptist Church parking lot, will feature music by Building 429. The festival also features headline performances by Jo Dee Messina and others.

The Festival is free to attend and features a variety of family-friendly activities. There are events for everyone, including a children’s parade and Corvettes of the Cumberland.
The festival also features a concert by the Texas Tenors, an acappella group that made the top 40 on Season 4 of “America’s Got Talent.” This year, the band made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the NBC talent competition series. Dunbar Cave State Park

The Valleybrook Park was recently renovated thanks to a federal grant. The money came from disaster relief funds. Because of the damages caused by the May 2010 flood, the park was eligible for the grant. The restrooms were relocated within the park for safety reasons.
