Rue is a five-year-old orange Maine Coon/Tabby. He’s a love bug and loves nothing more than to cuddle with his human. He likes to be the center of attention, so he needs a home where he’s the only pet. He also loves kids.

Tabitha

Meet Tabitha, a 2.5 month old Female Main Coon mix. She’s very shy but is a great socializer. She also enjoys playing with toys. If you’re in the market for a new pet, you should definitely consider adopting Tabitha! She’s already been spayed and is ready to start a new life with you!

Rue

Rue is a three-year-old Boxer/Pit mix who weighs 54 pounds. He loves to play with other dogs, but prefers the company of people who love him. He’s a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. Rue had been treated for heartworm after having babies.

Rue was rescued from an animal shelter in the South. He eventually found a “fur-ever home” in New York City. He’s also now the inspiration for a new Broadway musical called “Rescue Rue.” The musical, which premiered this past May, is based on the true story of Rue. It’s a love story about a dog who finds his “fur-ever home” with a loving family.

Rue was born in November 2017 and was adopted by a person who needed an emotional support pet. However, he subsequently became unwanted and was brought to Pet Welfare. Rue was very scared when she first arrived, but has mellowened and now loves to sleep in her cat catio and try to get treats from her humans. She’s also spayed and fully house-trained.
