Lavender is used in many different ways, anti-anxiety to infection fighting. In research it is found that you can add about 10 drops of lavender essential oil to your bath on a stressful day and it will relieve that anxiety. Use it in many ways, you won’t believe the results and will never let it fall out of your life.
Lavender has tannins, a bacteria killer that helps minor scrapes and cuts from infection.
Make a lavender infused towel compress by boiling a cup of water and placing five drops of lavender essential oil or 1/3 cup of dried lavender flowers and placing it on the wound to prevent infection.
Tannins are also very effective against the irritation and itch that comes with swimmer’s ear.
Use 2 tablespoons of warm water and place one drop of lavender essential oil. Take a q-tip and mix the mixture. Then use the q-tip to clean out your ears, creating a soothing effect.
Lavender essential oil has some painkilling properties that seem to stop the nerves from sending pain transmissions to the brain, reducing pain. This can be used on cuts, scrapes, bites, and stings.
Take a tablespoon of olive oil and mix in 3-5 drops of lavender essential oil. Mix and apply to affected areas.
