Wood Street Galleries
If you’re looking for some of the best art in the area, Wood Street Galleries is the place to go. This visual arts project is run by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and occupies the upper floors of a former Max Azen company building, just above the Wood Street light rail stop.
This small but wonderful gallery was opened in 1992 and focuses on the world of digital media. The space is small, but it is packed with amazing exhibits. The exhibits vary in size, and many of the exhibits change frequently. The museum is free to visit and offers a diverse selection of displays.

Nelson Ledges Quarry Park
Nelson Ledges Quarry Park is one of Robinson Township’s most popular attractions, and its stunning sandstone and quartz cliffs make it an excellent place for hiking, swimming, and camping. You can even go cliff-diving at this park!
Nelson Ledges Quarry Park is 167 acres of geologically unique beauty. There are several waterfalls at the park, including Minnehaha Falls, which is 15 feet high and flows into a narrow gorge. There is also a deeper waterfall, Lower Minnehaha Falls, which is only visible through the Ice Box cave. Cascade Falls, which is 40 feet tall, is another popular waterfall in the park.
Nelson Ledges Quarry Park has trails that lead to Devil’s Icebox, Indian Pass, and Old Maid’s Kitchen. Hikers should use caution when hiking the trails, and wear appropriate footwear for the terrain. Nelson Ledges Quarry Park was once home to Native American tribes, including the Delaware tribe.
Harlansburg Station Museum
This museum is located in a replica train station on Route 19 in eastern Lawrence County. The museum showcases four Pennsylvania railcars and is comprised of two large rooms filled with transportation memorabilia. In the first room, you can find an old ticket counter and antique wheels of transportation.
The museum has many exhibits related to transportation, including restored Pennsylvania railroad train cars, antique carriages, and a vintage US mail wagon. The museum also has information on early aviation, including pictures of female pilots in the 1930s. The museum also features movie props and military artifacts.
