Artback Murals decorate over 20 buildings in Estacada

The Estacada Murals are a collection of large-scale public art painted by the Artback Artist Cooperative. This cooperative consists of 14 local artists who paint murals every year in downtown Estacada. The artists work around the clock to complete the projects, bringing their art to life in the community.

The Cooperative began in 1992, when nine local artists decided to exhibit their art in a downtown community. After their first exhibition, they were overwhelmed with positive responses. They saw an opportunity to shape the future of visual arts in their community and increase civic pride. Since then, the Cooperative has been bringing art into the community arena and educating the widest possible audience.

The murals are not only fun and interesting, but they are also historical. You can see them all over town and take a walking tour to discover the many different murals. The local art gallery sells a Walking Tour Guide to the Murals that will give you information about each mural. You can also donate to a mural and even paint your name on the plaque.
