Ayer is a town located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Originally a part of Groton, the town was incorporated on February 14, 1871. It soon became a commercial railroad junction, as well as a center for the Massachusetts Volunteers during the American Civil War.
Christ Church Melaka
The Christ Church Melaka is a must-see when visiting Ayer. Built between 1741 and 1753, it was once a Portuguese church during the colonial period. The building is a unique sight as the red bricks used were transported from Zeeland in the Netherlands.
The church is situated in Jalan Gereja, also known as Church Street. It was first built by the Dutch in 1741 and completed in 1753. This church played a key role as the place of worship for the Dutch who were in Melaka at the time. After the British took over the colony, they converted it into an Anglican church and added bells and weathercocks to the building.

For those who prefer to walk, the Historical Center is a good starting point for visiting other attractions in the city. But you should keep in mind that the streets in the historical center are not very pedestrian friendly, so make sure to get a Grab to get to your accommodation. Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum

Melaka Sultanate Palace
The Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum is a reconstructed Malacca Sultanate palace. It is built based on the information in the Malay Annals and has a modern design. It contains many paintings and artifacts from the Malacca Sultanate’s time.
The museum houses an exhibit of artifacts from the past and the present. There’s also a replica of a Malacca sultanate ship, Flor de la Mar. The Maritime Museum also showcases the maritime history of the Malacca area.
While you’re there, you should also visit the Ayer Keroh Zoo. The zoo is the second-largest zoo in Malaysia. The enclosures mimic the natural habitat of animals. It is the perfect spot for a family outing.
You can also take a gondola ride to the top of the Melaka Sultanate Palace. The ride will take about seven minutes and you’ll get a great view of the city. The palace was originally built by Sultan Mansur Shah between 1456-1477 and is now a cultural museum.
Another great attraction in Ayer Keroh is the Melaka Crocodile Farm. The zoo is open daily and admission for adults is RM12. Children and students can also enter the zoo for free, though admission for children is RM6. The zoo is also located in Ayer Keroh and is Malaysia’s second largest zoo, covering 54 acres. The zoo features over 1200 animals from 215 species.
Klebang beach

Ayer Keroh is a backwater town located 15km from Malacca city. There is a butterfly and reptile sanctuary, a zoo, and 16 thrilling rides. The city also boasts several agro-tourism attractions and activities.
The Malacca Chinese Temple is one of the city’s most popular landmarks, located on the famous Jonker Street. Built in 1646, it was dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy Kuan Yin. The temple features a massive Kuan Yin statue.

Ayer Keroh is located about nine kilometers from the Malacca international airport. Tourists can take a taxi or bus to get there. The temperature in Ayer Keroh is generally warm and sunny most of the time.
Langkawi Sky Bridge
If you want a great view of Langkawi, you should visit the Langkawi Sky Bridge. It will give you a great view of the whole island. You can also visit the museum to learn about the local culture.
