Cox Arboretum

William McKinley Tomb
A large circular domed mausoleum marks the final resting place of the 25th president of the United States, William McKinley. It towers over interstate 77 and is a significant landmark in Canton. The mausoleum contains the tombs of the president, his wife, and children. In addition to his tomb, the memorial is home to several exhibits that chronicle the history of Stark County.
The president often visited his final resting place. His wife, Ida, recommended that the monument be built on a hilltop in Canton. She attended the cornerstone ceremony on November 16, 1905, but died just three days later. The remembrance of her husband continues to live on in Canton today.
The monument itself was built in 1907. It is a tribute to a great American. It was the only president to have a statue dedicated to him. The statue was designed by an American artist, Charles Henry Niehaus. Niehaus, who was educated in Cincinnati, used a photograph of McKinley taken at the Pan American Exposition.
The monument also features the 9-1/2-foot bronze statue of President McKinley delivering his last public address in Buffalo, New York, on September 5, 1901. Throughout the years, the company underwent several incarnations, but remains committed to crafting historic beers and celebrating new craft traditions. Its lineup includes Tuscora Pilsner, an American pale ale, and Carpe Noctem, a coffee porter.
The pub is located downtown Canton, Ohio. It occupies a large brick building on the corner of Third and Court. It has a bar on the right side and table seating in the rear. It features brick walls and wood tables. It also has additional seating downstairs and another bar. You can also have a sit-down meal at the restaurant.
