Ouch! Being sunburned sucks, chilling in the morning sun or early evening sun is amazing for your body, but too much is bad for your skin. Sunburns don’t usually happen anytime except in the summer, but every so often you will probably get one in the fog or on those rare nice days in the winter. When this does happen, here are some great ways to help soothe and heal your sunburn.  When you are burnt by the sun and your skin feels like its on fire try this mist. For this spites you will need; one fourths cup of water (rose), three fourths cup of aloe vera juice, one teaspoon of witch hazel (distilled), fifteen drops of lavender essential oil, and five drops if rose essential oil. First, Have a spray bottle ready. Second, pour the lavender and rose oil into the spray bottle. Fourth, put the distilled which hazel in the bottle. Sixth, put the rose water into the spray bottle. Seventh, shake again until completely mixed. Eighth, store mixture in the refrigerator. Ninth, use spray as desired for cooling sensation. Drinking green tea with each meal will give supply antioxidants which helps to heal your skin after a sunburn. Aloe Vera green tea spray: This spray will help heal and cool your skin after a sunburn for this spray you will need one fourth cup of aloe vera juice, one fourth of green tea (brewed), and one fourth tea spoon of lavender essential oil. First, be sure to have a spray bottle ready for the mixture. Second, pour the lavender oil and the green tea into the bottle. Fourth, place the aloe vera juice in the bottle. Sixth, keep refrigerated. Seventh, after cooled, use as needed. Warning: This mixture will begin to mold after two weeks. If you use organic aloe vera gel try taking a tablespoon of the gel and mixing a drop of lavender oil. This mixture is perfect for sensitive skin that has been burned. If your eyelid have been sunburned so bad to the point of swelling shut try covering them with slices of cool cucumbers or chilled bags of tea for twenty minutes.  Lavender helps to heal your skin while honey puts moisture into the skin. They aloe vera cools and heals the skin at the same time. You will need; two drops of lavender essential oil, two teaspoons of aloe vera gel, and two teaspoons of honey (raw). First, mix all the ingredients together in a small mixing bowl. Second, place cool water on your face. Third, apply the mixture to your face. Fourth, let this sit on your face for at least twenty-five minutes. Fifth, rinse off the mask with cool temperature of water. Yogurt is a wonderful way to moisture back into the skin and lavender helps to skin cells to produce. This will allow a soothing feeling with quick healing time. For this mask you will need one tablespoon of yogurt (whole-milk) and one drop of lavender essential oil. First, mix all of the ingredients into a small mix Second, place cool water on your face. Third, apply the mixture to your face. Fourth, let this sit on your face for at least twenty-five minutes. Fifth, rinse off the mask with cool temperature of water. The fastest way to chill a burn from the sun is to take a bath with roughly eight to ten drops of lavender essential oil and two cups of baking soda. First, draw a bath with a comfortable temperature. Second, add the ingredients specified above into the water. Third, mix until completely dissolved. Fourth, soak for at least ten minutes, but no more than twenty. Fifth, after patting dry apply an organic lotion to keep the moisture in your skin. Warning: Only pat dry to avoid damaging skin further. Avoid soap as it dries out skin. Healing a sunburn takes time with this bath it focuses on stopping damage to your cells, healing deeply in the skin, and soothing the top layers of skin. This bath requires two and a half liters of boiling water, one third cup of chamomile (dried), one third cup of green tea (dried), and one third cup of calendula (dried). First, pour ingredients into the boiling water. Second, cover and let sit for ten minutes. Third, strain and keep the tea not the leaves. Fifth, add the tea to the bath. Seventh, soak everyday until the sunburn goes away. Sunburns are painful and can make you feel awful. Every time I get one I always feel weird and can never wear a short sleeve because it hurts when I rub against the couch. Whenever I start to feel really warm or raw I use all of these to keep myself feeling cool and soothed. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
